Dr. Phil is probably regretting that decision he made to go visit Britney Spears in the hospital because since then he has been slammed by just about everyone including the people he claims asked for his help. Jamie and Lynne Spears said the way Phil handled the Britney situation was a betrayal, inappropriate and a breach of their trust.
Family spokesperson Lou Taylor appeared on the Today Show and said that Dr. Phil approached the family about doing a show about Britney and they did not go for it, but McGraw tried to set up the show anyway.
Taylor added that the family felt “betrayed” that Phil would issue any kind of statement after meeting with Brit, and that nobody had given him any authority to say anything, much less bellow on and on like he did.
