Madonna, or Esther as her Kabbalah friends know her, has declared herself an ambassador for Judaism. Mrs. Richie, who is not Jewish, met President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem and the two exchanged gifts with Madge getting a copy of the Old Testament and giving Peres with The Book Of Splendor. Madonna arrived in Israel with husband, director Guy Rictchie to attend a Kabbalah conference. Among her celebrity friends also in attendance were Demi Moore and husband, Aston Kutcher as well as ex-View co-host, Rosie O’Donnell.
