Neil Patrick Harris on the Cover of Out Magazine

Actor Neil Patrick Harris tells Out magazine that he has absolutely no regrets about revealing he is gay. Harris revealed that he thinks CNN reporter Anderson Cooper is ‘dreamy and says that Danny Roberts from the Real World: New Orleans was his gay idol.

Harris also admitted that his advice to a gay actor who is 16 now would be no different than it would have been when he himself was 16.

“Clearly there’s way more exposure and a much larger gray area with sexuality and the public’s opinion towards it — on almost every level — professionally, artistically, legally. What made it more unique 20 years ago was that there were less examples — so that made it a shock. And I think the shock value has kind of worn off.”
