Although they have not confirmed it, People Magazine reports that rapper Jay Z and his longtime girlfriend Beyonce tied the knot yesterday. A source says,
“It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
Rumors of a wedding started circulating after the couple picked up a marriage license earlier this week. Jay Z, whose real name is Sean Carter, and Beyonce Knowles have been dating since 2002.
Attending the event were close friends Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow along with Beyonce’s parents Tina and Matthew Knowles, her sister Solange and her former Destiny’s Child group members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
