The elderly man that was involved in the car accident with Gary Collins has died confirms the LAPD. On October 23rd Warren Gates, 89, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with Collins’ car.
Gates, who was hospitalized since the accident, died Friday. An autopsy has to be completed before an official cause of death can be known. Officer Ana Aguirre said,
“There’s going to be a follow-up investigation after the autopsy is completed.”
She also added that it would be unlikely that Collins will be found responsible for Gate’s death. Gary Collins pleaded no contest and was sentenced last Thursday to four days in jail.
