Rapper Kanye West continued his European tour after his mother Donda West passed away but seems he is not ready to take the stage in the US quite yet. West was scheduled to perform for the KDWB Jingle Ball at the Target Center today (December 7th) in Minneapolis but dropped out saying it is due to an unspecified “family matter.”
Filling in for Kanye will be American Idol runner up Blake Lewis and rapper Fabulous. Station program director Rob Morris said,
“We tried to get West on the air to explain all this to fans, but he refused, we did everything we could to save this thing.”
Also scheduled to perform is Avril Lavigne, Timbaland, Good Charlotte and Jordin Sparks.
