Joe Simpson is being sued by fitness video company Speedfit for allegedly blocking the sale of a DVD starring his daughter Jessica Simpson. Jessica signed a contract to record a workout tape for Speedfit after shooting The Dukes of Hazzard, but she then changed her mind about doing the tape and her father banned the videos release.
Speedfit owner, Alex Astilean, has filed suit against Joe after he failed to secure a $10 million settlement from his daughter.
“They are hurting millions of fat people in America!” Astilean said, “I believe that very strongly — they held the video for years!”
Simpson’s rep said, “It’s a legal matter that’s in the hands of attorneys.”
