As expected, Oscar nominated actor Will Smith’s I Am Legend took the number one spot at the weekend’s box office earning an astounding $76.5 million, making it Smith’s biggest opening ever, it also managed to score the record for the largest December debut beating out all three Lord Of the Rings films.
Following Legend at number 2 is Alvin & The Chipmunks, with an impressive $45 million.
