She seems to be the only sane one in the bunch of young Hollywood stars, so its no surprise that something had to happen to Hilary Duff. The actress/singer was performing in Mexico over the weekend when she was seen bending over the mic and singing into it but her voice could not be heard.
According to Duff’s reps, it was due to faulty equipment. Duff was relying on local sound equipment rather than her regular gear, and her microphone was inadvertently set to mute for the first few seconds of her performance.
So no she did not pull an Ashlee Simpson. Back in 2004 Simpson was caught lip-syncing on Saturday Night Live. Hilary, who is on her Dignity Tour, is the ex-girlfriend of new daddy to Nicole Richie’s baby girl, Joel Madden.
