Just recently Ellen DeGeneres announced that she would marry girlfriend Portia de Rossi, so it came as no surprise that Ellen grilled Presidential hopeful John McCain when he appeared on her show.
McCain said he opposes gay marriage and believes in preserving,
“The unique status of marriage between a man and a woman,” while Ellen said,
“We are all the same people, all of us, you’re no different than I am. Our love is the same.”
McCain did say that he, along with many others, wished the talk show host happiness.
