While on a show on CBS called Gary Unmarried Jay Mohr went on a rant disrespecting first lady Michelle Obama. Here is what Jay Mohr said.
Michelle Obama – that is a big dude. When Barack plays pick up games at the White House, you know he picks Michelle as his forward, maybe his [center] depending on who’s in Congress that day.
That has to be like being married to Elton Brand. She is a big dude. I like when she put her arm around the Queen of England – and she put her in a headlock and said, “I’ve been waiting 200 years to put my arms around you lady.”
I like how she shaved off her eyebrows, and then drew them back way to high – and in an arch – and then way back down, so she always looks super surprised. Michelle Obama kind of looks like the Count on Sesame Street. One … Ha Ha … One Black President … Ha Ha.

I used to sort of like Jay Mohr, but this does make him seem a little desperate.
Having said that, I’m not surprised that there would be a backlash to the whole “let’s all fawn over Michelle Obama” party. I didn’t expect it to come so soon. But when you pose for SO many magazine covers, especially when much of it is about something as superficial as fashion, I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect to receive only praise and no criticism. We (taxpayers) pay for her to have a staff to explain this to her. It’s called being overexposed in the celebrity/media world. She is a celeb, and has participated in that.
I personally believe that the fashion imperative is part of an overall status obsession that contributed greatly to the economic mess the country is in, because of excessive consumption. When the First Lady chooses to be a symbol for that same industry, I find it offensive. Mind you, I felt the same way about Nancy Reagan, and about the mythology of “Jackie O”
To say that Michelle Obama shouldn’t pose for the cover of fashion magazines is to say that she should lose her human element to her. I am sure posing for magazines such as Elle and Essence are fun but alos they reach to those who may not read USA Today or care for the Economist. It is saying “Yes we are your first family too and we want you to know what’s happening with your country.”
That said this wasn’t a “criticism” as you so kindly put it. Your statement on the fashion industry was a tactful critique. This was an attack. What he said was mean and vicious and eventually ended back up at race where Mr. Mohr apparently wished to start it. He just had to work his way up to it. One stupid comic Ha…Ha…Ha…

Have you seen his wife? If I was him, I would not talk, but maybe that is why he is talking, it will take the attention off of his wife.
I don’t understand. Every other 1st lady has been made fun of. Why then is it automatically racism when someone picks on Michelle Obama? Grow up, not everything is racial! She is in the spotlight, and living in America and being in the spotlight, you will get picked on, black, white or whatever!
