Singer Beyonce has signed on to play blues singer Etta James in the 1950’s period film Cadillac Records, reports the The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will also star Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, and Cedric The Entertainer.
The singer, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Dreamgirls, will also executively produce the project as well as record songs for the movie soundtrack.
