A London judge has given Madonna temporary permission to move her two sons with ex Guy Ritchie to New York City.

The couple — who finalized their divorce in November — lived in Ritchie’s native England over the course of their 8-year marriage.

The UK Madonna +taking+boys+to+live+in+US/article.do” target=”_blank”>Evening Standard reports the custody agreement will be made permanent within the next 14 days.

“Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks,” a source close to the negotiations told the newspaper. “Everything is going well. It’s pretty amicable at the moment. Things are progressing.”

Madonna ’s lawyers had argued that Rocco, 8, and adopted David Banda, 3, should not be separated from 12-year-old half sister Lourdes, Madonna ’s daughter with fitness trainer Carlos Leon .

The Standard reports that Rocco and David will likely divide their time between London and New York, but go to school stateside. Ritchie could also watch over his sons while Madonna continues on the newly-announced European leg of her concert tour this summer.

Ritchie is “gutted, but resigned” by the custody ruling, one of his pals told the UK Sun. “Guy will still see his sons all the time. He said, ‘It doesnt matter where they live — they will always have the hearts and souls of Englishmen.’”

Madonna ’s rep did not return calls for comment to the Standard.

Madonna and Ritchie announced they were splitting in October following months of marital discord, which included the singer’s late-night visits by New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, as first reported by Us Weekly.

A tabloid report claiming that Patrick Swayze has stopped receiving medical treatment for his pancreatic cancer is “not true,” his rep tells Usmagazine.com.

“Patrick is continuing treatment,” says his rep.

The National Enquirer had reported the 56-year-old actor — who revealed he was fighting Stage 4 cancer about a year ago — decided to cease treatment after doctors told him they couldn’t stop the disease’s progress. “There’s nothing more doctors can do for him,” the Enquirer quoted a family friend as saying.

In an ABC primetime special earlier this month, Swayze denied that he was on his deathbed but said he may have only two years to live.

“I’d say five years is pretty wishful thinking,” said The Beast actor, who is currently co-writing a memoir with his wife, Lisa. “Two years seems likely if you’re going to believe statistics.

“I want to last until they find a cure, which means I’d better get a fire under it.”

Faith Hill praised Jennifer Hudson for choosing the Super Bowl as her first performance since the slayings of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.

Hudson will sing the national anthem before Sunday’s game between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. It will be her first public appearance since the October slayings.

“She is a strong girl, a girl of faith,” Hill said Thursday. “I believe to come and perform the national anthem, which is this country’s favorite song, at a time that our country is stepping up and moving forward for future generations I think it’s just the perfect choice.”

Hudson did not participate in Thursday’s NFL news conference introducing the game entertainment. Hill, who is singing “America the Beautiful,” appeared with pre-game act John Legend . Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band appeared separately to discuss their participation in the halftime show.

Hudson, who had released her self-titled debut album shortly before the killings, is also scheduled to sing at next week’s Grammys’ MusiCares event in Los Angeles. She is nominated for four awards at the Feb. 8 Grammy Awards.

Hudson’s 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson; 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson; and 7-year-old nephew Julian King were slain in Chicago in October. Her estranged brother-in-law has been charged in the killings.

Hudson won an Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in “Dreamgirls.”

“I have not spoken to Jennifer, but there has not been a day that’s gone by that she has not been in my family’s prayers,” Hill said.

An Atlanta judge has ordered the arrest of former NBA player Jason Caffey, who’s accused of failing to pay thousands in child support.

In October, a judge in Alabama rejected a bankruptcy case filed by Caffey, clearing the way for him to be sued for child support.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Cynthia D. Wright issued an arrest warrant Tuesday over Caffey’s failure to obey a court order that he pay more than $200,000 in child support and legal fees to Lorunda Brown and her attorney.

“We’ve been trying to get his attention and this should do it,” said Brown’s attorney, Randy Kessler. Kessler said Brown is the mother of Caffey’s 6-year-old son.

Caffey played nine years in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks.

A listing under the name Jason Caffey in the Atlanta area was disconnected Monday night, and an attorney who represented Caffey in the past didn’t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.

Paula Abdul ’s wacky antics returned on Tuesday’s American Idol.

Miffed because the other three judges didn’t ask her what she thought of 19-year-old contestant Julissa Veloz, Abdul walked out of an audition in Jacksonville, Fla.

Simon Cowell and new judge Kara DioGuardi had just offered their critiques when Abdul interrupted, “OK, I guess my opinion doesn’t matter. It’s so funny because there’s four judges… sometimes we forget there’s a fourth opinion in this room!” She then stormed off.

The contestant then followed Abdul and begged her to come back out.

“I can’t do this, Julissa!” Abdul was overheard complaining.

The contestant then tried reassuring Abdul: “It’s OK, you’ve been doing this for eight seasons…”

After some prodding, Abdul returned and voted “yes” on sending Julissa to Hollywood.

When it came time for DioGuardi to vote, she said “yes” to Julissa.

The reason? “She brought Paula back!”

Ashlee Simpson Wentz is coming to the defense of her sister Jessica Simpson after multiple reports surfaced on news Web sites and celebrity gossip blogs criticizing Jessica’s new shapely figure.

“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight,” Ashlee wrote on her blog. “A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.”

Ashlee feels her sister’s celebrity status should not make her a target.”All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard,” she said of Jessica, whose appearance at the at the Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff on Sunday in Pembroke Pines, Florida over the weekend sparked the media scrutiny.

“Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it.”

According to Ashlee, the media should be paying attention to more important topics. “How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?” Ashlee continued.
