The folks at Warner Bros are either greedy or they really want Heath Ledger to win an Oscar. The studio announced today that they are re-releasing The Dark Knight to theaters in January, which is the height of Academy Awards voting season as well as the Anniversary of Heath Ledger’s death. According to The Hollywood Reporter a studio insider said,
“It’s just a matter of bringing it back as a reminder for people.”
Never mind the fact that the movie has earned more than $500 million to date at the box-office.
